The special feature of construction is the high awareness of the Canadian owners regarding use of chemicals in products so the focus is on using chemical free recycled timbers and low emission paint finishes. The cladding is a combination of Hardies Monotek Plaster and Hardies Linea board systems. Features ceiling with exposed recycled Oregon beams and rafters, Recycled Rimu floors and Ceramic Tiles. The house sits on timber poles to maximise views and accommodate sloping nature of the site.

Dear Rod

We have recently enjoyed our fourth Christmas in the Whitianga holiday home that you and your team built for us. It is past time that we wrote and said thank you for the fine workmanship. Since we live on the other side of the world for half the year, it was not without some trepidation that we entered into the building process. Fortunately we chose your company. Our trust in you and your staff was well placed. They paid close attention to detail - and emailed us photos at every step to show us the work that had been done. The work couldn't have been better if we had been standing over their shoulders. The house was done on time and on budget. Moreover, various members of your staff have rung us in subsequent years to make sure everything is still all right.
